Course Description
The Diploma in Financial Accounting (DFA) is a professional computer-based accounting course designed to provide students with strong knowledge of financial accounting and computerized accounting systems used in modern businesses.
This course combines accounting fundamentals, Microsoft Excel, and Tally with GST to help students understand how financial transactions are recorded, managed, and analyzed using computer software.
Students will start by learning Computer Fundamentals, Windows 10, and Internet usage, which helps them understand basic computer operations and digital working environments.
The course then introduces Microsoft Excel 2020, an essential tool used for financial calculations, budgeting, data analysis, and report preparation in offices and accounting departments.
In the Accounting Basics module, students will learn the core concepts of financial accounting including journal entries, ledger posting, and trial balance.
The Tally with GST module provides practical training in computerized accounting. Students learn company creation, voucher entries, inventory management, GST transactions, and financial report generation using Tally software.
The Business Accounts module focuses on preparing financial statements, understanding business transactions, and managing financial records effectively.
By the end of this course, students will have the practical skills required to manage financial data, maintain accounts using accounting software, and work confidently in accounting and finance-related roles.
